In this INTERACTIVE, hands-on session, participants will look at examples of coaching Beyond the Core 4 (coaching in areas outside of the core content areas of English, Social Studies, Math, and Science), and the potential of this project-based learning in elective areas. The presenters will share and demonstrate examples of projects they coordinate and co-teach in their respective districts. These projects, while centered in elective areas, reinforce core content standards, and are interdisciplinary and can be adapted for use by participants. The session will also discuss some of the preferred technology and how it is integrated in order to enhance rigor and relevance in student learning outcomes.
